Sporting legends, radio hosts and reality TV stars were among those selling properties across Australia in 2019 – often, for a very hefty price tag.

The likes of George Burgess, Dannii Minogue and The Block’s Bianca Chatfield have all stepped up the property ladder this year, selling their mansions in exchange for something a little bit different.

Now, Daily Mail Australia takes a look at the best properties fan-favourite celebrities bid farewell to earlier in the year – and how much they managed to sell for.

Sold for: $2,560,000

Dannii Minogue ditched the home she used to share with ex-boyfriend Kris Smith back in June, with the Hawthorn East estate selling at over $2.5 million at auction.

Sold for: $3 million

George and Joanna Burgess and their three children bid farewell to Australia in November, after the rugby league star signed a three-year deal with UK’s Wigan Warriors.

They left behind a luxury apartment in Randwick – which features panoramic beach views, a huge outdoor pool and tons of natural light – which unsurprisingly sold days after the family moved abroad.

Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli and his wife Lisa Wipfli sold their lavish Sydney home for a whopping $2.4 million back in June.

With a character-filled facade, the home has been recently renovated and features four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Sold: The Nova 96.9 host, 39, and his wife Lisa (L) sold the property to famous chef Nigel Ward, according to a report released by Nine Homes on Tuesday

The three bedroom, three bathroom apartment features expansive indoor and outdoor living areas, and lashings of gorgeous natural light.

The three large bedrooms all have a private en suite as well as access to balconies, while the home also has a generous full-width terrace.

After it failed to sell during its first month on the market, the family appeared to accept a lower offer than their original listed price of $2.85million.

The Block’s Bianca Chatfield has sold her two-bedroom apartment in Melbourne’s exclusive Kew Gardens estate, following a last-minute renovation. 

After purchasing the unit in 2007 for $360,000 and living there for several years, the 37-year-old sold it on November 28 for an estimated $620,000.

Since first buying the property – which is located in a boutique complex – Bianca removed all traces of the dated decor and dragged the unit into the present day.

Brand new wooden flooring and stylish spotlights in the open plan kitchen and lounge really make the apartment stand out.

The former netball player completely gutted the old kitchen, replacing it with a state-of-the-art modern one, with all the latest features and fixtures.
